Prenatal Pilates: This class offers a supportive environment for empowering women during pregnancy. Exercises incorporate pelvic floor recruitment, conscious breathing and safe resistance using a springboard and various props. All levels welcome.
Mat / Springboard I ~ Wednesday 7:15 to 8:15 PM
Beginning Mat and Springboard: This class is designed to introduce students to the Springboard. Exercises focus on engaging deep stabilizer muscles, adding muscle toning resistance, with a focus on precise alignment, flexibility and peace of mind. Learn, refresh or deepen your understanding of basic repertoire, alignment cues, and everything you'll need to know to practice safely and effectively.
ABOUT AMY
Amy Boe Power took her first Pilates mat class in 2005. She had heard Pilates could reshape ones body, and she wanted help with her posture. From that first class she was hooked -- she felt as though she had worked out and had a full-body massage at the same time. It was so amazing that she immediately began thinking about closing her business and becoming a Pilates instructor. In 2009, she decided to make the switch. She loves how Pilates makes the body stronger and more functional for everyday life, and loves to help clients become stronger, fitter, and happier with their bodies. Amy has been teaching Pilates since September 2009 and is working towards becoming a Balanced Body University certified trainer.
